Fan and Motor Kit (Constant-Speed)

Use this kit to assess the energy consumption (electricity usage) of a constant-speed, constant-volume fan and motor.

  • Use one power meter (measures voltage, power factor and true RMS power of the fan motor).
  • Use one motor runtime logger for each fan motor being measured.
    • As an alternative to measuring motor runtime, use one 4-Channel analog logger and one current transformer for each fan motor being measured (electrical current is measured with this equipment).
  • If the fan motor is temperature dependent, borrow one Temp/RH MX2301 data logger.
  • If you are trying to measure a variable-speed, variable-volume fan and motor refer to the Fan and Motor (Variable-Speed) kit.

See related documents and content below for how to setup and install the equipment in this kit.

We are available to support NYC Agency Personnel at different project stages. If you are interested in getting additional support contact us.
