Where and how will the tool(s) be used?

Please note that the actual start date of the loan period may vary on equipment availability. Spot measurement equipment is normally loaned for 1 to 2 weeks. Logging equipment is normally loaned for 2 to 4 weeks depending on the project type and availability of tools. Borrowers may ask for a time extension which will be determined based on equipment demand. Please allow 2 to 5 days of lead time.

The borrower assumes full responsibility for the equipment borrowed. Should the equipment become lost or stolen, the borrower is responsible for the replacement or the replacement value of the equipment. Should the equipment become damaged the borrower is responsible for repairs and/or replacement of the items. If the borrower is to move the equipment to a different facility, it needs to be notified to CUNY BPL. If a third party consultant uses the equipment on the borrowers behalf, the borrower agrees to either acknowledge responsibility for the equipment or obtain a written acknowledgement of said responsibility by the consultant via email.
