Please note that the actual start date of the loan period may vary on tool availability. Meters are normally loaned for 1 to 2 weeks. Loggers, and sensors are normally loaned for 2 to 4 weeks depending on the project type and tool availability. Borrowers may ask for a time extension which will be determined based on tool demand. Please allow 2 to 5 days of lead time.

The borrower assumes full responsibility for the items borrowed. Should the items become lost or stolen, the borrower is responsible for the replacement or the replacement value of the items. Should the items become damaged the borrower is responsible for repairs and/or replacement. If items are moved to a different facility, borrower must notify CUNY BPL via email. If a third party consultant uses the items on the borrowers behalf, the borrower agrees to either acknowledge responsibility for the items or obtain a written acknowledgement of said responsibility by the consultant via email. Refer to our Borrowing Guidelines for more detail on the borrowing process.
