Do I have to pay to borrow Field Equipment Lending Library (FELL) equipment that I see on the NYC Energy Tools website?
No! FELL loans out equipment to you at no cost to NYC facility and energy personnel.
What can I use the FELL equipment for?
The FELL equipment found on the NYC Energy Tools website can be used to conduct studies, troubleshoot issues, and take measurements before and after implementing energy efficiency projects – including those required for projects funded by DCAS DEM’s ExCEL , ACE, and other funding programs.
How do I borrow FELL equipment?
Check out the equipment library! All equipment that is currently available is listed out here for you to choose from. CUNY BPL staff are also available to assist with equipment selection . For more information, please review the borrowing guidelines.
I don’t know how to use the FELL equipment that I need – is there training available?
Yes! CUNY BPL offers technical comprehensive assistance and training at no cost, to ensure that NYC agency personnel are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively utilize the equipment they borrow.
There is some equipment at my building, but I am not sure where it came from. Is there a way to determine if it belongs to FELL?
Yes! If you see a QR Code on the equipment, please scan it to confirm it belongs to FELL. If there is no QR Code, please contact us for assistance.
I have FELL equipment in my possession. How do I return it?
