Purpose

The success of this website, in part, relies on the trust visitors place in NYC Energy Tools to respect the privacy of personal information that may be gathered in the course of a web visit. There are four types of information that this site may collect during your visit:

NYC Energy Tools does not share or sell information, for commercial purposes, with any outside agencies or businesses. However, information may be disclosed to the appropriate authorities in conjunction with applicable law.

Network Traffic Logs

In the course of ensuring network security and consistent service for all users, NYC Energy Tools employs tools to identify unauthorized access to information or resources, detect computer viruses and other software, and monitor and tune the performance of the website. In the course of such monitoring, these tools may detect such information as addresses from network packets, and other information. Information from these activities is used for the purpose of maintaining the security and performance of the NYC Energy Tools website.

Web Visit Logs

NYC Energy Tools collects and stores information from online visitors to help manage the site and improve service. This information gathered is the date and time of user login, the IP address from which the access occurred, and the version of browser used. Any personally identifiable information from these activities is not released to external parties without your consent unless required by law or necessary to protect the legal rights of NYC Energy Tools.

The general public may access and use any NYC Energy Tools information on this site, which does not require log in.
