Building Re-tuning (BRT) Energy Savings Calculators

The following calculator files can be used to quantify the energy savings associated with common operational changes from the Building Re-tuning (BRT) Playbook that are characterized as BRT measures and have the greatest energy savings potential.

info Recommended
While each calculator file includes instructions on how to use it, for details on the methodology, assumptions and user input values behind all the calculators, download the accompanying Quantification of BRT Energy Savings document, then see below for calculator files.

All measures and calculators

Measures related to air distribution, outside air control, economizing, dehumidification, humidification and energy recovery.

Measures related to heating systems optimizations, resets and other adjustments.

Measures related to cooling systems optimizations, resets, setbacks and other adjustments.

Measures related to stebacks, resets, sequencing and optimizations.

Measures related to lighting schedules.

Measures related to perimeter heating and cooling.

Measures related to sensor verification and calibration.

warning Calculator projected energy savings
Projected energy savings assume that each recommendation is implemented independently, i.e., all other aspects of the system are working and scheduled properly. They do not model the building systems in a way that estimates savings from, say, two or three recommendations being executed simultaneously.
